Amanah Nurish, Democracy and Interfaith Initiatives (interview with English subtitles)

Dr. Amanah Nurish is an anthropologist and ethnographer who has worked as a research lead for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) on the links between extremism and corruption in the Asia-Pacific region. She actively teaches master’s and doctoral students at the University of Indonesia, Jakarta and the Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University in Yogyakarta. She has a PhD in Religious Studies from the Indonesian Consortium for Religious Studies (ICRS) at Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. She works in academic circles and non-governmental organizations that address issues relating to minorities, the environment, and networks of religious extremism in Southeast Asia.
